I've learned, the best way to get better at writing is to just write more, and keep writing. There is a book called "Spilling Ink" that is good for young writers. It can teach you some things about characters, dialogue, creating suspence . . . That might help, you'll find it on Amazon, I don't remember the author's name.
Also, if you go to my website, www.MarkCheverton.com, and click on WRITING TIPS, you find a lot of short writing tutorials, teaching some of the tricks I've learned after writing 26 novels. These might help as well.
Just remember - keep writing and watch out for creepers!
