John Okay, this clarified some of the past timeline for me (thank you!!!) but also made me question the point of it all. Is the message that queerness is both a curse and a unifier?

Crystal Um, wow. That is all.

message 3: by Claudine (new)

Claudine My take is that with the violent and untimely death of Simone, that strong energy remains at Brookhants which does not abide by rationale but more of an abundance of vengeance, (justified) anger and longing that may never be satisfied of that peaceful life living overlooking the sea that was disrupted by the selfish and nightmarish brother interlopers. Adelaide wanted to force Libbie to be with her and raise Ava as Simone was overlooking the sea.

George Thanks ever so. With a clear conscience I can now drop any further consideration of this novel.

message 5: by Brandi (new)

Brandi Jeez...I wish I would have read this before I bought the book. That synopsis just made my head spin!

message 6: by Mari (new)

Mari thanks! Now I can drop the book happily as it is of no interest to me.

Meika I enjoyed it too. I did miss the connection with Simone Verrett, so thanks for the summary!
