About Verity's car accident, he basically told Jeremy that bad things happen to evil people. My impression is that Verity's parents didn't cut her off simply because she started writing thriller novels. I think there's way more to this story.
@Alex: I agree. She must've killed somebody before he met Jeremy or anything of that sort.
But how do we know it's true? Maybe Jeremy made it up? And never talked to the parents?
