Rick Presley Agree. Thomas Covenant was wracked by the morality and that's part of the appeal. Ender Wiggin is also good for this when the vaunted Messiah discovers for himself that he is Satan. Kind of like I Am Legend. I agree that CP has no sense of the moral dilemmas his characters face.

Kami Reads But Eragon and the elves clearly talk about this, and it's really obvious to the reader that Eragon is completely out of depth when thinking about morality or any philosophy... Roran is a single minded idiot so he doesn't have morals. Kira discusses her struggles a decent amount throughout the book. What moral dilemmas are you talking about that I'm apparently missing?

Jeff Don't know what to tell you. They're there, they're obvious and they arent spelled out or discussed. Doesnt mean the books arent fun, or that CP cant tell a story, just means his writing is flawed.

Kami Reads So I'm wondering what you think are examples of the moral dilemmas that CP ignores or does not discuss, because that's not something I've noticed, so it would be really enlightening if you could give an example or two instead of just repeating that you think they exist.
