Patricia No need to be rude. Everyone is different. I don’t like to read books with unhappy endings, so I don’t want to waste my time if that’s the case with this book. I get enough unhappy endings in the real world.

Jenna Not bizarre at all. Since I've had miscarriages, I can't read about them. I need to know ahead of time if someone loses a pregnancy or a child in the book. There's an entire website called "Does the dog die" dedicated to spoilers so people know ahead of time. It's not weird at all.

Patricia I’m sorry about your miscarriages. ❤️ I know how you feel, as I have had three. Thank you for the website recommendation!

Kelly Novak I love "Does the dog die". Victims of trauma need trigger warnings. I wish all movies, books. graphic novels, etc have them listed. Thanks for asking. I came here looking for the same answer.

Heather What would the internet be without completely unnecessary judgment of others?

Patricia ❤️ Kelly and Heather

Laurie PTSD is real and reading about certain events can trigger symptoms. More power to people who know what their triggers are and avoid them! Perhaps thinking about it this way will help you see it as not so bizarre.

Patricia So true Laurie.

message 9: by Lizzie (new)

Lizzie What would the internet be without people demanding it fit their needs, with trigger warnings and no spoilers?

message 10: by Mary (new)

Mary If I'm on the fence about a book, I sometimes want to know the ending. If it's what I expected and the book is only okay, I can stop and move on to something better. If the writing is good, I don't care if I know the ending because I'll enjoy reading how the author reached that conclusion. So there aren't really reading police like Matilda.

NicoleWReads Laughed out loud at how on a site dedicated to helping people assess whether they want to read a book someone would take a question about a book, make assumptions, and feel the need to provide acondenscending respond . Yes, only on the internet and to answer where the internet would be without people asking question about books, the obvious answer is without Goodreads :-)

Patricia Thanks for the answers Mary and NicoleW! I agree!
