just finished this book & I can't agree more with you
I felt that the book lacked much of the "telling" of the story more like a mechanical process of getting through the story from beginning to end as quickly as possible

I have to agree with you guys on this. I really liked Pat's character but I felt like all the other characters were flat and the plot was a little boring.
