Mrs V Frost I agree

Theresa In total agreement I plodded through it. Not very well written at all. A try at humour which didn’t succeed.

Chris Totally agree

Doraemon_reads this is so true! I cant believe my eyes seeing all the praise, both here and in amazon and in the book jacket

Graham Paul Totally agree as well!

Lenny Husen I have started it and I feel the same way. My sister loved it so I will try for another 100 pages. I feel the writing is awkward and forced and not funny to me but hey, maybe I haven't given it enough of a chance.

Giuseppe Ruotolo It's a funny, warm book for people of a certain age. I certainly identified with it. If you had to google tv shows like Juliet Bravo, mentioned in the book, then you missed the point where I would have laughed out loud cos I used to watch it back in 1982. :-)

Athornton Thank you so much for this honest review!

Marilyn Walker James Patterson is formulaic. This was delightful. I kept laughing out loud.

Stephanie Bell-Boissonneault I am so in agreement with this review. I hate not finishing a book but I am seriously contemplating not wasting any more time on this one.
