marlenea autio This is why men for centuries have gotten away with assaults. No one wants to talk about it. I give the author credit for giving us details. Brett Kavanaugh was a party drunk in college. He got away with assault because Trump ensured he did. They did a complete smear campaign against Dr. Ford, because she is a woman. Trump has used nda's for decades to silence victims. I was gripped by this chapter. Women have been called liars forever. Are they all victims? no, but the majority are. Look At Harvey Weinstein. He raped numerous women for decades because he had the power over their lives.

Jackie Linkous I completely agree, Marlenea! Not talking about it and assuming women are lying about being assaulted is what perpetuates the problem. It scares me how many women are willing to help that perpetuation when WE, as women, are the victims. Not the "poor" men like Weinstein, Trump, and Kavanaugh!

Aurora Agree with both Marlenea and Jackie here. It's incredibly sad and disturbing to see women who lack empathy and understanding for other women. Skimming through ensured that you missed out on the humanization of Ursula's character, which was hugely important to her development as well as the development of the storyline.
