Janet Marie Oh, and P.S.-- the description of him having been sick as a child and then seeming different after his recovery seems to me exactly what happened to Holly Sykes' little brother in "The Bone Clocks," when an horologist took over his body when he was sick.

ThereWillBeBooks That's a brilliant insight! I'd forgotten all about Jason's pen-name. I would wager a fair amount of money that you're on to something.

Janet Marie Thanks! I assigned BSG to my students as summer reading, so it was just fresh in my mind. The "Bolivar" scene in UA is one of my favorites in the book.

Ronan O'Driscoll Well spotted! I was wondering who the kid might be also, especially since he says he's 808 years old. I can't imagine what that connection might be as the 1980s Jason of BSG is probably not born yet. I initially thought it might be Knock Knock, come back to reap revenge. Especially since his "Dad" says he came out of a coma. So not sure of the connection either...

Jason David Mitchell also published early poems using the pseudonym James Bolivar
