I agree! It made no sense when the whole book was about the wife (forgot her name) being honest and kind to everyone.
It doesn't make sense at all. Especially as throughout the whole book, Lexi almost never stood up for herself (even when her daughter was kidnapped) and then we're led to believe that she's capable of lying so much?
I agree. It would have been a great twist if any groundwork for it had been laid earlier in the book. Totally unbelievable from this character.
