Well, technically the pieces are buried in concrete. The head, torso, arms, and legs are in separate garbage bags, divided up into two different burial vaults that, if I understand it correctly, will never be opened so there's no way for the vampire to put himself back together again.
Is just that she could hear the parts move. It would give me a deeper peace of mind, if they were not able to.
Personally I'd wait a year, gather the bags and burn everything separately and scatter the ashes at a crossroads. The last, because if ghosts and vampires are real...mythology at least deserves a nod.
