Did you not finish the book when you wrote this?? She DID kill Chase!!
It's not beyond the realms of possibility that she wrote the poem as an imaginary scenerio or as something to help her digest the things she was hearing in court etc. Even the necklace could easily have been collected by her another way, maybe he threw it away after she beat him and then she later found it and kept it? I'm not saying I don't think she killed him, I think the authors intention is for us to believe she did, but a poem and a necklace isn't really irrefutable evidence either so I can understand the question.
