Thank you, Georgia. You are right about her loss of her close friend. She felt rejected and suddenly here was this older, powerful man showing interest in her, intellectually and sexually. God, she was so vulnerable -- at 15! Did you like the book, Georgia? So many times throughout the book, I felt very angry about the manipulation.
I thought it was an excellent book, but also just so disturbing. Strang was the kind of person you could never reason with because he's incapable of truly admitting fault., which is maddening.
