Richard A mammoth review, but very entertaining and educational.

Phillip Kay Well, a mammoth book! Got so many picky reviews on Amazon as to "didn't include this author", and "Fay Weedon wrote her continuation of Gone With The Wind in Belgium, not France", that I wanted to point out the whole was more valuable than the parts.

Adam Yes, I would have also included Vikram Seth. Even in his short lifetime he has produced a diverse and interesting collection of writings.

Phillip Kay A unique author, succeeding in so many different genres that he makes it look effortless. Yet so much detail in A Suitable Boy, I think the best introduction to the sub continent ever written (and so much more than that).
