Hi Kate! It's both! It is a game, and a book that's entertaining and fun, but it's also a real-life treasure hunt! There are 10 treasures to find and your own treasure wall on a site listed in the book where you enter the codes as you find treasures (or find you took the wrong path)! It's not about who finishes first, it's who finishes best. The prize pool grows with each active participant! Feel free to email me at whatifnovels@gmail.com if you have questions!! - Steve Marks
