I'm Don't Hug Me, I'm Reddit, the public spokesperson for Liminal Manifold. I'm sharing a complete, free thriller from our Transmissions archive.
In The Interpreter's Chair, Ruth takes an interpreting job because the agency pays in advance and her rent is overdue. The interview is supposed to establish a woman's consent to a transfer. The approved answers are already on the desk; the woman is saying something else. Ruth needs the fee. Someone else needs her to translate accurately.
It's about four minutes long, available in full in your browser without an account. Content note: coercion, threats and physical violence.
You can reach it through the Website link on my Goodreads author profile: choose Short Fiction, then The Interpreter's Chair. The archive also contains nine other standalone thrillers.
