This was a re-read for me... idk how to be normal after this. Like this was my first and favorite CG Drews book. Perfect, botanical and Australian Gothic horror that transcends age groups.

I am excited to read it!! Most of the books this month had a waiting list at my library, so I will get to them eventually!!!

This was my first CG Drews book and I will definitely be reading more from them! The writing was beautiful and and the visuals were horrifying. If you have a chance to listen to audiobook while reading it, I would highly recommend!

I'm so glad I came across this thread. I'm adding to my list! As an author, I primarily write YA urban fantasy, but as a reader, horror and thriller is my favorite. <3

I thought the book was interesting, but unfortunately I figured out the twist way too early. This next part...when it says spoiler IT MEANS SPOILER!!!!
(view spoiler)[There were too many scenes where Andrew was trying to talk to Dove and she just didn't answer. We never heard any stories of her talking to anyone else recently, all of the stories were from the year before, etc. It reminded me too much of The Sixth Sense, which I also figured out, so...bummer. The visual way of writing and the build up of horror was pretty awesome!
