Nicholas Fernandes I have started reading this and I wanted to give y'all a heads up:

1) You MUST read a physical copy (looking at you Bridge-man lol). An audiobook version will be completely incoherent and impenetrable.

2) This book will challenge you in a great many ways. There are concurrent stories, frequent tangents and interruptions, and more footnotes than I can count. It is designed to be confusing and challenging. While sometimes frustrating, I can't help but be impressed at its cleverness.

3) Don't get discouraged. This is slow reading, even for me. I've been at it a week and I'm about 50 pages in right now. I am guessing that we will have to discuss this book frequently because of its intentionally confusing nature. Might be worth looking up tips for reading this particular book.

All this being said, I am definitely invested in seeing where this goes and very much look forward to talking about this book with you all. THAT being said, we might all need a vacation by the time we finish.

p.s. - whatever misery comes from this is Bridger's fault :P

L.S. Mattison Reading House of Leaves was such an experience. I think I'm due for a reread. I second your suggestion of reading a physical copy over an audiobook (or even an eBook). So much of the experience comes from the way pages are laid out and the story is presented.
