Dariana Skichko What if the story doesn’t end where the page stops? 📚
Hello everybody!🙂 I’m Dariana, an independent author, and I created my debut book, Before the Dawn, for readers who love taking control of the plot.
Imagine 50 gripping short stories filled with subtle romance, psychological mystery, and high-stakes tension - each one ending right at the most pivotal climax. The final choice of how every single story unfolds is entirely up to you.
I’m currently offering free ARC (Advance Reader Copy) digital copies in PDF format to readers who’d love to dive in! If you’re curious to test your imagination, leave a comment below, and I’ll send a copy your way.🖤

Curiosity A Suspense Thriller by Barron Darby Hi Dariana! That's an interesting concept, letting readers decide how the story ends. I'm an indie author myself, and I know how much creativity goes into bringing something different to the table. Fifty stories is quite an undertaking! I'd be interested in checking out a copy. What gave you the idea to let readers finish the stories themselves?

Hi Barron! Thank you so much for your kind words! 🖤 It’s so great to connect with a fellow indie author. The idea actually came from wanting to break that passive reading loop - I love open endings where your own imagination takes the wheel, so I wanted to create a collection where every reader becomes a co-author. I’d love to send you a PDF copy! Feel free to drop your email here, and I’ll send it right over.

Dariana, that is generous of you and I would like to read it. I try to keep my email out of public threads, so if you send me a message here on Goodreads I will give you an address there. Breaking the passive reading loop is a good way to put it. Has a reader ever told you how they finished one of the fifty, and did it beat the ending you had in your own head?

Ken Carrier Calling all Authors! I'm starting a new Youtube/podcast series called AuthorUp. Each episode brings an author into the conversation to talk about the books they've written, the craft behind their work, and the path to finding readers. Whether you are a reader who loves going behind the pages or a writer looking for ideas and encouragement, AuthorUp invites you to listen in. This podcast mirrors David Perell's YouTube series with top authors like Lee Child, but focuses more on up-and-coming authors still in the trenches, fighting the good fight alongside the rest of us. If you'd like to be a guest author, please register at https://www.kencarrier.com/#interviews to be considered for an episode.
