I'm Mike Sutton, a Vietnam combat veteran and crime novelist. I spent three tours in Vietnam before building a career in tech. Now I write crime fiction.
My latest book, The Gene Pool Boy, is set in Baltimore. It's about a serial killer using the U.S. Postal Service to deliver fentanyl, a federal task force, and a high-end auto theft ring. It's the fifth book in a series featuring recurring characters Hunter Morgan, Joe D'Elia, and Dusty Rhodes.
The book was recently praised by the VVA Veteran for its pace and plot. A big part of why I write is to support the veteran and first responder community—I donate 100% of my royalties to support groups.
If anyone is interested in Baltimore-set crime fiction or stories from a veteran's perspective, I'd be happy to answer any questions or just chat about the genre.
