Wow, what a premise! I think I would welcome half my soul to be stolen if I could be freed from shame and embarrassment 😅 and it sounds like this story tackles some truly relevant topics with the class differences and how lower social classes are treated and even how those in the higher classes can be kind but too sheltered to understand the plights of others. It’s too bad the execution fell a bit short though. Showing vs telling makes such a big difference! Stunning review my lovely 💗💗💕

You clearly liked a lot in this one. Too bad the magic elements and character arcs weren't planned well. A book with such an intriguing premise has good scope for magic and whimsy to balance the plot.
