I’m writing a memoir about growing up in China, family relationships, leaving home, becoming a father, and trying to understand the choices that shaped my life. The story begins with my childhood and follows my life into adulthood, marriage, fatherhood, and the way I tried to raise my own son differently from the way I had been raised.
