Alexandra I do not use Audible but wow thank you for sharing. I am continuously disappointed that a company with such large resources that could do endless good, chooses greed instead.

Darla I really enjoyed this series. Glad this first one earned four stars from you also.🥂

V.D. Taylor So glad you enjoyed it!!!🖤💗

Jodi (on semi-hiatus) Great review, Adina, AND thank you so much for spreading the word about yet another case of corporate greed!! It boggles the mind. I wish more consumers would stand up against it!

JustJJ Glad you enjoyed Adina! 💙 And thanks for the heads up about Audible, as I'm an avid audiobook reader too!

TarHeelReader Thanks for sharing this info. I only use Librofm and Libby for my audiobooks.

Nancy (post-vacation catch up) Thanks for the Audible update, I had no idea. I use Audible for books not available on Libby or Hoopla.

Merry Great review I have enjoyed this series a lot. Also, interesting about Audible. I had subscribed for years but canceled a couple of years ago due the HUGE number of books that I bought but hadn't read.

Fred Jenkins Good to know the latest on Audible. For years, part of my job was licensing e-resources for a university; I called it buying the air. In many ways it is destroying the integrity of great research collections.

I sometimes buy and read e-books, but never anything I actually think I will keep or reread. Digital content seems to exist primarily to allow middlemen to rip off both authors and readers more efficiently and completely.

I can understand some greed, they have to make a profit as a business, but I think they just break any moral code while doing it .

Adina ( not enough time ) Nancy wrote: "Thanks for the Audible update, I had no idea. I use Audible for books not available on Libby or Hoopla." i use Audible for books not available with Everand. Well, I have 200 unread in my audiobook library. i am a bit of a hoarder.

It does not help that they run a site-wide sale twice/year.

Jade C. Jamison Sorry I just now saw your comment--but I wanted to mention that Amazon's policies with Kindle Unlimited and ebooks are similar. They're all about keeping as much money to themselves as possible.
