I actually had someone message me as well refferencing this group. But they haven't asked for money so I don't know if they are legitimate or not. It's how I found this group in the first place.

I'm not a hot girl, but I AM a hot author, and I can confirm someone messaged me today pretending to be Olivia and wanting to charge me to promote my books in this group. I get about ten scammer emails a day though. Earlier this morning someone emailed me claiming to be Colleen Hoover. Nice that someone as busy and successful as Colleen has the time to take an interest in my career...

This is a crucial message for everyone in this group.
I am writing to formally report that I have received a chain of emails from individual claiming they found my book, Aphrodite, engaging and favorable for inclusion in your "September Reading Challenge." In a deceptive and refined manner, they requested a fee of $200 from me in order to be included in this challenge.
As a lawyer, I cannot remain silent. I am reporting this manipulative scammer in an effort to save other authors, as these actors try to manipulate the dreams of every writer.
This is a serious violation of all authors’ rights and the principles and values of this community.
I have preserved all emails and can provide them if anyone wishes to investigate further to stop this harassment and manipulation, and to protect all members of this group.
Please, everyone, be very careful. Do not pay any fees for reading challenges or promotions.
Thank you for your help in keeping this group safe.
Sincerely, Vaso Eleftheriou
