I especially love that you enjoyed Elara refusing to be controlled. Cassian may have centuries of power, authority, and terrifying Vampire King energy behind him, but unfortunately for him, Elara has stubbornness. Lots and lots of stubbornness.
And hearing that the story kept you turning pages late into the night might be one of my favourite compliments. I’m sorry about the lost sleep… although not sorry enough to promise I won’t try to do it again.
