J. Rowan Hello everyone! I'm J. Lynn Rowan, and I'm looking for ARC readers for my upcoming American historical romance, Edge of Heaven.

~~~
Widowed by the Civil War, Emily McCallston will do anything to provide for her young daughter, even leave Virginia to accept a governess position in a Yankee household on the shores of Lake Ontario. Far from home and haunted by the mistakes of her youth, she is determined to build a quiet, respectable life.
Theo Cooper survived the war, but not unscathed. Carrying wounds both seen and unseen, he has withdrawn from the world, content to live on its edges. A Southern governess in his family’s home is an unwelcome intrusion—and he intends to be rid of her.
Yet Theo’s resolve falters in the face of Emily’s quiet strength and fierce devotion to her child. And Emily, against her better judgment, begins to see beyond Theo’s bitterness to the loyal, honorable man beneath. Soon reluctant understanding gives way to something deeper—and more dangerous—than either expected. And they cannot ignore it.
Now, Theo will do whatever it takes to protect the woman he cannot bear to lose. And Emily must decide whether she can trust him with the truth—and with her heart—before it’s too late.
But Emily’s past has not released its hold. The man who once upended her life has come to claim what he believes is his. This time, he has no intention of walking away.
Edge of Heaven is a slow burn, closed-door, enemies to lovers historical romance set in the years immediately following the American Civil War. Other tropes include:
- forced proximity
- reclusive hero
- widowed single mother
- secrets from the past
The ARC application can be found here: https://forms.gle/LrVxev8wMi8tdgrC6
ARCs will be distributed via BookFunnel using the email you provide in the application. Reviews can be posted on Amazon, Goodreads, and/or personal blogs/socials on or after September 29th. There is no end date for reviews, but it would be lovely to have them by October 6th. Once the print release is live, reviews can also be added to other retailers.
