Hi Verity-Lee! I think Your Place or His? might be worth a conversation even though it sits just outside your usual comfort zone, bear with me.At its heart it's a story about a 44 year old widow who is absolutely not looking for anyone, grief that lives in the mundane details of ordinary life, and a love that is complicated and messy and asks her to hold two things at once without resolving either of them. It's emotional, it doesn't shy away from the difficult parts, and it's definitely not afraid to get messy.
There is a mythological thread running through it but the world Zoe lives in is entirely real and contemporary, she has daughters, a demanding job, a hundred kilometre race on her training plan, and a man who keeps appearing in her life with a certainty she can't quite explain.
It's my debut novel and I'm looking for kind but fair feedback from real readers. It's published and available on Kindle Unlimited, or I'm happy to send a digital copy directly.

I’m not really interested in fantasy, romantasy or paranormal romance, so I’d prefer stories grounded in the real world (but if it sounds interesting I would be willing to step outside my comfort zone and give it a go!)
I’m especially keen to find something that feels fresh and different, including books from indie and newer authors.
