I watched the Jeremy Irons adaptation a million years ago, but can’t remember much about it except Aloysius the teddy bear. My mom loved it. I wanted to read the book, but never quite got around to it.
I'm lazily watching the 2008 movie version from Miramax, which is only 2 hours long and oddly focuses mostly on Charles and Julia, the two least interesting characters. The movie stars Matthew Goode, Hayley Atwell, and Ben Whishaw. It's a bland remake. However, the movie was filmed on location at Castle Howard, the same site used for Brideshead Castle from the 1981 miniseries starring Jeremy Irons, Diana Quick, and Anthony Andrews.
