I was 17 when I got a phone :)

I was in my 20s when I got my first phone. And it was a flip phone.

@Hannah and @Rebekah nice! The research behind smartphones and internet before the age of 16 is insane...the impacts on the brain and mental health. Honestly in just having too much scene time before that age.

True! I was 25 when the flip phone died and I got a smart phone.

I was 15 and it had lots of restrictions, as I’ve gotten older I steadily get some new things when my parents feel I’m ready

That's great that your parents were involved in that. I feel like so many just hand phones to young kids to keep them entertained and quiet. *sighs* 15-16 is definitely the recommended age, especially for girls. Boys it is more like 16-17 because of how our brains develop differently.
