A good heart does not mean allowing others to take advantage of you.

You can be generous without offering everything for free. You can serve others while still recognising the value of your time, work and gifts.

Jesus told His disciples to be “wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” Discernment does not make you cold—it teaches you when to give freely, when to negotiate and when to walk away.

A good heart shows who you are; discernment protects what you carry.

Discernment is so necessary in the world we live in today with so much deception. I have been learning to listen to God's voice more before making decisions or how I speak to someone. We need to slow down, spend time in His word and praying to receive it!
