I'm an Australian-born author who spent most of my working life as a graphic designer and art director in the publishing industry. After all those years helping other people tell their stories visually, I eventually decided it was time to tell a few of my own.

I write crime, military action, political suspense, and historical adventure. My stories tend to have a few things in common: complicated characters, places that feel real, secrets that don't want to stay buried, and people who find themselves in situations they never expected.

The Kramer & Shadow Crime Series grew out of something I discovered while researching The Pits—just how widespread the brutal world of dog fighting really is. What began as a story about that hidden world eventually grew into a series about Captain Kramer, his K9 partner Shadow, and their increasingly dangerous encounters with organized crime.

I also write historical fiction under the pen name Liam Cadoc. The Archer's Diary came from my fascination with medieval history, ancient legends, and the question of what might happen when something believed to be a legend turns out to be true.

My latest novel, The Last Ghost, takes me in a very different direction—a political thriller about power, secrets, and the consequences of decisions made behind closed doors.

I still think like a designer when I write. I want readers to see the places, hear the sounds, and feel like they're standing in the room with the characters.

And, hopefully, keep turning the pages when they should have gone to bed.
