message 1: by Ruth (new)

Ruth M. There are seasons when we may feel emotionally, spiritually, or simply physically tired. Sometimes, the best thing we can do is pause and let God’s Word remind us that we don't have to carry everything alone.

I’d love to hear from fellow Christian readers:

What Bible verse, passage, or promise from God has encouraged you most when you were going through a difficult or exhausting season?

Maybe it’s a verse you return to again and again. Maybe it’s something you discovered recently. ❤️

I’m also sharing Rest for the Weary Heart, a collection of 60 KJV devotions centered on finding peace, comfort, and strength in God during tiring seasons.

But before talking about the book, I’d genuinely love to hear from you:

What Scripture would you give to someone whose heart is weary today?

Feel free to share the verse and, if you’d like, tell us why it has been meaningful to you. Let’s encourage one another with God’s Word.

message 2: by Matthys (new)

Matthys Viljoen Psalm 62:8 (NIV) — "Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge."

What that verse gave me was permission. I had assumed that faithfulness in a hard season meant holding it together, and that saying how heavy it actually was would be a kind of failure. This verse says the opposite. Pouring it out is the trusting, not a lapse in it. Scripture never asks us to deny pain, and lament is not weakness.

The other I would offer is 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) — "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Not because it lifts the weight, but because it does not pretend to. The promise is not escape. It is companionship.

If I could say one thing to someone weary today, it would be this: the question is not whether the season is serious enough to matter. It is whether you are carrying it alone, or carrying it with God. Those are not the same experience, even when the circumstances do not change at all.
