For me it was the crimson moth, i picked it up bc the cover was nice tbh😅 but the whole period blood witch shit was too much for me.
Also the fact that they explain nothing and just repeat the same bs over and over again was really agitating to me like how are you gonna write a book and make it sooooo predictable to the point where i knew who the enemy was the second they introduced her.
And again with sexualizing the FMC why cant we write a book without mentioning the FMC’s body hello?
It was to the point where i was forcing myself to read it.
I might be wrong tho so i guess never judge a boon by its cover

This is SUCH a hot take, but Girl In Pieces. It was just so confusing and I really hated the writing. It was just wayyyy to hard to follow and it was just unrealistic. I feel like the author researched nothing and just kinda guessed about what they were writing.I only got half way through…

Necromance volume 1 by Yuuki Doumoto.

Icebreaker… learnt to judge a book by its cover(sorry not sorry) and that reading reviews beforehand comes in handy and is necessary imo.. also to read a little overview of what the book is about instead of assuming it was gonna be a cute fluffy romance… absolutely hated it but that’s maybe just me, i love push and pull slow burn romance 🙏

Definitely Court of Fives, Belladonna, The Do-Over, Lightlark, and Once Upon a Broken Heart.

Either "The Princess Trials" or "Devour."

"The Princess Trials" is a teen book in the vein of both "Hunger Games" and "The Selection." It sounded interesting, but it was full of annoying characters who always did the dumbest thing in any situation, and the main story itself was really boring to me.

"Devour" is a graphic novel. It starts out with good characters and an engaging story, but slowly begins stripping those characters or any personality, gradually turning them into basic stereotypes instead, and then begins undermining its own plot and making it both less interesting and more convoluted.

I got into the hockey romances and went thru books so fast then hit a wall with icebreaker. Everyone was recommending it so much and I couldn’t even get to 50% before it became my first ever DNF

I personally have not read a rlly bad bad book, but The Inheritance Games rlly got to me to the point where I was forcing myself to read the first three books. It wasn't bad but I was so fvcking bored and I hot into a reading slump after.
Powerless (the whole trilogy) was not that bad. The I loved the plot, but Kai and Pae are literally so badly written, and I feel like all the books was the same scene over and over again for each book individually- If I hear the words, "He flashed his dimples at her" one more time I might js crash out. At this point, I js don't like his dimples anymore ✋🏾I feel like ppl hated on it too much but the ones abt Pae and Kai and the scenes recycling are accurate.The plot is so good thou. It had potential, but Lauren was js didn't use the opportunity. I personally did not read Red Queen, but my sister did and she said the only things copied from Red Queen, but only in the first book of Powerless. I don't rlly think it's worth reading it.

I agree as The Inheritance Games was awful. The plot was ridiculous to I quit on it right away.

The Water Walls After reading this ( killed me to not DNF) I looked at reviews : 72 with 64 being 5 stars 🤔 90% of those 5 stars were from bots. Every once in awhile some snippet of this book will haunt me. Truly bad and almost 500 pages 🤮

Powerless
I only picked this up because of all the hype around Kai, but honestly... he was such a red flag.
I haven't read a ton of books, so my comparison pool isn't huge. But out of the ones I have read, Powerless is probably my least favorite.

I didn't mind The Inheritance Games at the time because I was looking for something mindless to read and that definitely qualified.

As for Powerless, I think I said it was trying to be like all the other romantasy out there and failing. The only positives were that it at least made the best friend a seamstress and it wasn't a retelling of a myth.

I know some people like it, but I HATE it, I haven't actually finished it yet, I'm really close, but I've been reading it for agesss and I just find it incredibly jarring imo.

Problematic: The Psychology of Social Justice Fanaticism

I would never say mean things about an author and their book because I know of the effort that went into even making the book but this book in particular, I found extremely boring and the characters were very hard to love. I mean it certainly had an awesome plot but a very unlikeable narrator.

LOL that's actually hilarious. Now I'm morbidly curious.

Full disclosure... I got 20-some pages into the first Maze Runner book and it was just so unreadable I never went back. Which was terrible because I received the whole set as a gift. But the constant use of new slang and jargon and terminology not only completely alienated me, it was just incredibly cringe.

Shatter me I definitely agree with. It was so hyped up online and lots of people i know enjoyed it but it was quite boring and repetitive, and I just found a lot of the characters unlikeable. Is it worth it to read the other books in the series/ does it get better?

Rarely ever do I give a book less than three stars.. Some poor soul devoted years of their irreplaceable life to the book I’m reading … if nothing else, it will teach me what not to do when writing. Also, Once I start reading a book, I stick with it until its bitter end … who knows what might happen?

The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime. It was literally so boring and I don’t get why people loved it so much, because the mystery was crap and the writing style just annoyed me and broke the flow of the story.

The Dark Tower series was pretty terrible I thought. The ending was even worse. To read all those books for such a crappy ending was such a disappointment. And I love Stephen King.
