It's about a girl who discovers the secret society of ghosts and mediums, living their best "lives" under the city of Brussels. She invents a way to photograph ghosts so they appear as crisp and clear as a regular portrait. And somehow manages to get herself tangled up in stopping a ghost terrorist's plot to take over the world--using her little brother as the key. There is a romantic subplot with a boy who is also a medium with a secretive past.
