This is one of my favorite series of all time :) The character development and emotional depth shown by Hobb is next level.

Yes, the character work is great. It makes me really captivated with the book even though it would normally not be my cup of tea. I am not a big fan of nautical stories and all the injustices the characters constantly face are making me so angry. It has been a great series so far (recently finished the Farseer trilogy), yet I am slightly disappointed because I expected it to become one of my favorites. But there are still many books left, so who knows...
