Congratulations on the incredible milestone! I just published my first novel, TIGER: A Veteran Wages War on a Cartel, and I think most people will find it hard to put down. Stepping into each character's headspace and helping them slowly reveal themselves was so much fun for me. When I first started the novel, I wasn't even sure I'd have it in me to write a good first book. Now, I feel like my characters are alive and waiting for me to join them on the journey for book number 2. Did you feel like that while writing your book as well? I thought it would feel like work, but the whole process was amazingly enjoyable!
Did you lose the joy of developing the series by book 6, and how did you know that book 6 was the appropriate end to the series? When I started Tiger, I thought I was writing a single novel, but the ending I chose really lends itself to a series, and since I enjoyed writing book 1 so much, I decided to make it a series. I am developing the outline for book 2 now. I hope to hear back from you and to learn from your series experience.

I just wanted to share a massive personal milestone with this community. As an indie author, the journey from blank page to published series can feel incredibly isolating. But today, I’m celebrating—the 6th and final book of my Dark Fantasy Romance epic, the Fatebound series, is officially out in the world!
A quick look at the journey:
It all started with Book 1, The Fate-Chosen. I wanted to explore a deeply twisted, reversed power dynamic where a powerless girl accidentally binds the continent's most lethal assassin to her soul via an ancient magic contract. The magic forces him to obey her, stripping his autonomy and forcing them to navigate a brutal, monster-filled world together.
Writing the psychological tension of that dynamic, expanding the worldbuilding over six books, and keeping the slow-burn romance consistent was the hardest thing I’ve ever done as a writer.
To all the readers who give indie authors a chance—thank you. You literally make our dreams possible.
And to all the indie authors currently struggling through the middle of their manuscripts: keep going. The feeling of seeing your entire completed series on the shelf is indescribable.
(If anyone loves dark, high-stakes romantasy with morally grey characters, the entire completed series is available on Kindle Unlimited. You can check it out via my Author Profile!) 🖤
