I'm moving this to self-promotions... official buddy reads around here have a whole process explained in the welcome folder/threads, and are generally scheduled AFTER finding people to buddy read with, not before...I'm not gonna delete the thread or anything, for now, as long as there are no other infractions...
I’m the author of The Fate-Chosen (Book 1 of the completed 6-book Fatebound epic on Kindle Unlimited), and I would absolutely love to host a Buddy Read here for anyone interested in exploring a gritty, high-stakes dark fantasy romance!
What to expect:
This is a survival-focused story with an intense reversed power dynamic. A battered squire’s daughter accidentally triggers an ancient magic contract, violently binding the continent’s most lethal assassin to her soul. It forces this mind-wiped weapon to obey her subconscious will. It's a very slow-burn, morally grey romance packed with tension and dark worldbuilding.
The Plan:
Pacing: Casual! Maybe 3-4 chapters a day, or whatever pace the group agrees on.
Bonus: Since I wrote it, I’ll be here to answer any lore questions, share character inspirations, and mourn with you over the emotional damage. 😅
