(cont.) I didn’t want the readers I didn’t have to know I was a big business lackey, and I didn’t want people at work to Google me and find a story I wrote twenty years ago about hookers shitting on glass tables and go straight to HR. And a bit of bad mojo hanging over me: the company’s internal name for their C2T platform was “atmospheres” and I self-published this book called Atmospheres a few years before, a factoid I hoped nobody at work found out about. I think three people in the wild actually bought and read the book, but 17 left bad reviews. I wanted to pen a sequel, write something an order of magnitude more outrageous, but after ten hours on a computer at the corporate do-nothing work every day, the last thing I wanted to do in the 87 minutes between work and sleep was sit at a computer and type.
