Robert Roberts Weather your an established writer or your working on your debut book we would like to hear from you. Maybe your just thanking about writing, but have been putting it off. What are you working on? I haven't written in some time, but I plan on finishing a last novel this winter. It's a paranormal thriller that I started years ago.

Randall Moore I’m editing a completed manuscript and working on a thriller I started earlier this year.

Robert Roberts Thinking about writing something for the first time whether it be a debut novel to be published. Perhaps it’s just a short story for peer pleasure. Maybe you want to take the plunge, but you don’t have a clue as to what to write about. We have several writers here that have been in your shoes. Don’t hesitate to ask us for help or our opinions. We have all been there and learned the hard way.

Ruth Yall make sure to share titles when finished. We would love to see it! Good luck!

Randall Moore My most recent published novel is The Liberty County Vanishings. It’s a mystery thriller with a touch of horror at the end. Check it out.

Rosie I’m editing a book my husband wrote. Does that count?

Andrew Govender Hello Goodreads community,

My name is Andrew K Govender. I am a grandfather of four, originally from South Africa and now living in Fort Mill, South Carolina. A few months ago I did something I never imagined I would do — I published my first children's book.

The book is called Little Adventures, Big Lessons: Heartwarming Stories of Grandpa and his Grandchildren. It was born from something very simple — the realisation that the moments I treasure most with my grandchildren are the small, ordinary ones. The hide and seek games. The school runs. The broken toy cars that turn into teamwork lessons. The backyard bug hunts that somehow become conversations about kindness and nature.

I wrote it because I wanted to capture those moments before they slipped away. And somewhere along the way, what started as something personal became a book that other families seem to connect with too.

Since launching a few months ago I have been incredibly grateful — 16 five-star reviews, readers across the United States and beyond, and the kind of feedback that makes a first-time author feel like the effort was worth every moment.

But I will be honest with you. I am new to this world. Publishing the book was one thing — finding readers, building a community and understanding how to share a story with the world is something else entirely. And that is why I am here.

I would love to connect with readers, fellow authors and anyone who loves children's books and family stories. I am not here to sell — I am here to learn, to listen and to be part of a community that clearly loves books as much as I do.

If you have read a children's book recently that moved you, made you laugh or reminded you of your own childhood — I would genuinely love to hear about it. And if you have any advice for a new author still finding his feet, I am all ears.

Thank you for reading this far. It means more than you know.

With warm regards,
Andrew K Govender

Robert Roberts Some authors like to title every chapter in their books. I have never figured out the purpose of that, other than word count.
