I'm releasing on Amazon The Great American Nobble by Cecelia Vaughan Bouchet, which tells a first hand account of a woman dealing with her first incidence of Bipolar Disorder I at age 42. Honestly I cringe at the word disorder because I believe the medical community has such a negative bias which adds to the stigma of mental issues. I fictionalized my real life story, hoping to share insight on the inner workings of the mind during such a flight.

Hi, My name is Kenton and I recently joined the group.
I'm looking forward to exploring more, but I've also written a book about my experiences living and parenting with bipolar one called Bisection.
It's an honest and, hopefully, funny tale of life with bipolar. It's currently available for pre-order from the publishers in physical copy, but will be generally available in paperback and e-book - and listed her on Goodreads - from the end of July.
I'd love it if anyone had a chance to check it out.

Crazy Was All I Ever Knew: The Impact of Maternal Mental Illness on Kids
*Free book*Hi all! I am a 22-year old author from Minnesota, Molly Fennig. I am an eating disorder researcher training to be a clinical psychologist who has suffered from anxiety and depression. I recently released my YA contemporary novel, Starvation, with publisher Immortal Works. I'm looking for readers to give *free* copies to in exchange for reviews.
Goodreads link: Starvation. You can also buy the book on Amazon here.
Premise: John Green meets Laurie Halse Anderson in this "haunting" and "incredibly real" book that "holds you there until the very last sentence".
16-year-old Wes McCoy is not the favorite child.
He does not have a wrestling scholarship to Stanford nor does he live up to the family legacy as an athlete, unlike his brother, Jason. But when Jason dies in a car accident on the way to the state high school wrestling championship, Wes turns to food to give him the control over his life he didn't have before-- the kind of success he never tasted.
Wes must take back control from his eating disorder as he learns more about himself and the mystery surrounding Jason's accident, before he loses his life and those closest to him.
Hi everyone,I have suffered from Anxiety for such a large part of my life- possibly all of my life- that it took me until writing A Shopgirl’s Tale to really admit to myself that this was something that was divergent and more than common worrying that everyone deals with. Basically writing the story of a woman with sometimes crippling anxiety led me to understand that I was, in fact, suffering from a mental illness.
So all that said, I would like to submit it for your reading pleasures in hopes that it could be an entertaining read. :)
At 30 years old Erika Leib’s personal hardships have stalled her into a mundane life of safety and security. Not that she spends much time thinking about it like that. She’s underemployed at a job that probably should appreciate her more but that is hardly uncommon. She’s got a halfway decent, sort of relationship with no pressure to make a larger commitment and a family who loves her. Plus she’s got Rachel- her best friend, confidant, the person who’s always been there for her and always will be.
It’s not where she thought she’d be but she’s content to stay there.
That all changed, however, the day she meets actor, Xavier James, who unbeknownst to the public, has been similarly clinging to a mundane but familiar existence. Soon after their chance encounter, Erika begins to re-evaluate her own worth and must decide if she’s ready to rediscover the girl who once would leap without thinking or if she’s prepared to stay just another Shopgirl.
Loaded with good food and fueled by the importance of good friendships, the book is like Sex and the City for a generation that could never afford the extravagance Carrie and Co. promised and an exploration of the compromises we make and the darknesses hidden beneath a familiar smile.

Anxiety, Depression, and Jesus: Finding Hope in All ThingsHey, everyone!
I’ve battled anxiety, depression, and OCD for over 20 years. Having grown up in the church, I’ve been told to have more faith to get rid of my anxiety. I’ve been advised to pray more. I’ve been given self-help books that would get rid of my mental illness.
None of that worked. And four years ago, life came to a grinding halt.
Then I started to read what the Bible 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 says about anxiety, depression, and mental illness. And what I found shocked me. I found out that faith and struggle can coexist. I learned that Jesus is present in our illness. I saw openness from people who struggled and a response from God that was loving and not condemning.
So I decided to write a book. I won’t promise that it will take your pain away. But I am praying that it will give you hope in the midst of pain and that when you close the back cover, you’ll know unequivocally that you’re not alone, you’re not crazy, and there’s a God who loves you.
This is my new book in case it is of interest to you or anyone you know (160 pages)Befriending My Brain: A Psychosis Story https://amzn.eu/d/cWl5Yy5

This is not your average messiness. But this is Ashley Berry’s life.In Separate Things, Ashley fumbles through life, graying up the parts that are so intensely black and white, while learning that molding herself into this “normal” world is not the same as living in it. Never hiding from the stigma, she voices her opinions to others in order to help them understand that being slightly nutty can look different on everyone.
Running from a flood of mental illnesses, Ashley shares her raw, intimate journals from psychiatric stays, moments trying to find the sunlight, and the callous feeling of not wanting to be here anymore.
Peeing in foam cups and ruminating for hours about catching pedophilia is just a tiny glimpse into her sometimes manic life. She shares her stories in a very direct way that will only make you feel more compassionate to those who are touched by this light.

Hello, everyone.I wanted to let you know about my new contemporary fiction book that was published on March 9.
“BROKEN” by Kain Rafferty (available on Amazon in paperback or Kindle)
Jack Barlowe should be living a happy life as a stay-at-home father with three, young children and a successful wife, but he has a severe problem with his mind. Jack has had debilitating bipolar disorder for years, and his strained relationship with his family has only led to nightmares and constant anxiety.
Written by a longtime sufferer of bipolar disorder, BROKEN tells the story of one man's struggle to hold his family and sanity together while caught in the grips of mental illness.
My name is Alexander Kirkland. Like many of you on here I've struggled with panic attacks and anxiety. Early 2021 was the worst time of my life, but I learned a lot from it in the process. So much so that I want to share it with you so that you can take control of your life once again. As of right now I'm looking for ARC readers for my new memoir, When Obstacles Limit Freedom: Facing the countless immovable obstacles of anxiety and panic attacks.
(Side note: Someone created the book and a new author page separate from mine. Trying to get that resolved.)
But if you would be interested in being an ARC reader, that would help me out greatly. Moreso, I hope that the tools and tricks throughout the book can help you navigate your anxiety obstacles.
Ultimately, stay strong, my friend. You got this : )
Sincerely,
Alex

Hello, everyone. I’m an author who writes fiction centered on mental illness, anxiety, trauma, recovery, and the complicated ways people learn to live with their past. Many of my books are inspired by my own experiences with depression, OCD, social anxiety, phone anxiety, eating disorders, therapy, and time spent in an adolescent psychiatric unit. I write both adult suspense and young adult fiction, often exploring what anxiety feels like from inside the mind rather than treating mental illness as simply a plot device.
My recent Phone Anxiety Thriller series includes Where Voices Go to Hide, A Frequency of Secrets, and Every Recording Has a Ghost. These novels combine psychological suspense with the dread, avoidance, racing thoughts, physical panic, and worst-case-scenario thinking that can accompany phone anxiety.
I have also written young adult stories involving depression, psychiatric hospitalization, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, and the need for connection during difficult periods of life. Although my books contain mystery and suspense, I try to portray mental health struggles with empathy and honesty.
I’m glad to have found a group where readers can discuss books that address mental illness. I would also love to hear about other novels you believe portray these experiences thoughtfully and realistically.

Thanks,
Tucker
