Yay for starting Discworld! Just know that the series takes a little while to get going. I like that first one, but it gets MUCH better as you go on.
Congratulations! So jealous of you :) I had to spend 20 years to thoroughly forget early books and enjoy re-reading them 😊🤤 Mind you, Pratchett himself admitted that the earliest 10 novels are not his best, but even then "Mort" (nr. 4) is considered one of the better starting points.
But I hope you will enjoy those first books as well, they _do_ have their own charm :)
I don’t see what the issues with this book are. It’s rollicking, sharply written, and very funny. I do think my reading experience is being greatly enhanced by the excellently performed audiobook.
