Cinematic Poems by Ilbert d’Orcence [$0.99 to buy, free with KU]Hello, fellow explorers. Five of my wildlings, “one YOU”, “Castle in the sky”, “Renaissance”, “Ardour”, and “KRONOS’ EGGS: The birth of the Circling Ages” are on a Kindle Unlimited rampage ($0.99 to buy).

Think of them as short-films, to be (read) played/performed boldly, backed by a raw, peculiar musicality. As with all my works, I design/illustrate the covers & pictures, so words and images can act synchronously to help deliver the peculiar mood and imagery of each piece. Partners in crime, mixing to bring life to the surreal chimeras.
If: (1) you think the outré beasts are something that intrigues you; (2) are game to morph sentences into frames, and build offbeat movies; (3) are willing to experiment, and stamp-score your visceral tempo; and (4) would like to join me on lightning voyages across time and space, the meeting point is at https://www.amazon.com/author/ilbertd... Hope to see you there!

[Free with KU, or $2.99 to buy] Illustrated Poetry in Portuguese (9+).

AUTCH!
Dear explorers,
My name is Ilbert d’Orcence, a genre-blend creative with 3 main passions: (1) origins/equilibriums, (2) wild-life/nature(s) and (3) universe(s). I know. That embraces almost everything :) Writing with a purpose (across its many expression forms), is such an intelligent creative route to building a personal enlightening journey, that will (hopefully) lead to a meaningful message. I treasure its adventurous exploratory nature, its unexpected turns, its power to sculpt sense of the world (and one’s self), and its freedom to artistically melt research, strategy and instinct in pioneering ways.
Happiest when exploring inner workings and intertwinings, my discovery journeys often shapeshift into hybrid storytelling creatures that breathe surreal iridescent colours. Words and images as atoms. And that’s how the outré “KAKAPO and the fiery sundown case of the Berjudas Hellhole Triangle” was born (EN https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G4HC2JKL and PT https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G4HM9BN8 versions).
The “puzzle” is a surreal collision of worlds and genres, and has a hybrid DNA made with the synchronous & rhythmic intertwine of 2 independent but fraternal narrative-chains. One “text”, the other “pictorial”, always “glued” via a musical tempo, with science and medicine. Science and sci-fi are kindred spirits.
Together they present the “reading detective” with many different twists & linkable clues (bridging musical pieces, books, movies, paintings, album covers, STEM data, etc., etc.) to solve the pressing open “case”, and that bonded with his own life experiences, will build in the end his vision/melody/film of “what’s going on”. Of his “KAKAPO” world/score (well… a possible one). Depending on the unearthed “clues”, each reader will sculpt and colourise a very unique discovery journey. No resulting “reality” is absurd, and that’s what’s magic.
I don’t want to dive much into it, because I would spoil its intent and experience. The fun is to let my pieces roam free as strange artefacts open to all interpretations, shapeshifting meaning with every brain and chance stumble, to spark endless possibilities. No bias. I’ll just say it tries, rooted in a deep love for the natural world, to wittily explore the wildness and beauty of the human nature. And how everything in this world and Universe, is ingeniously connected. And connecting. We all depend on each other.
KEYWORDS: Surreal & Satire & Parody & Irony & Operatic Thriller & Adventure & Action & Humour & Comedy & Suspense & Human Nature & Natural world/Conservation & Animals & Astronomy & Illustration & Puzzle & Cinematic & Silent Movie & Survival Race & Love story & Epopee & Epic Battle & Prophecy
Do you feel the beast orbits around your world and interests? Is it something you can see yourself melting with?
If so, hope the minor and major grooves of KAKAPO’s eccentric DNA, outlined in the opening poem “offbeat structure” (a key poem that will hopefully read very differently by the end), take you on wild, worthwhile journeys!
All good wishes, fellow kakapoans
