I have written to the Pollyanna Institute of Feelgood Studies nominating Dr. Kurzweil for their prestigious Most Optimistic And Out Of Touch Public Statement Of The Year Award.

Aw shucks Catarina, it's just part of the service.
It is basically a popular science / technology / futurology book. The author clearly knows a great deal about science. Less convinced by his understanding of history, philosophy and politics.
