Brian — I respect that this book wasn't for you, but to suggest it's devoid of science is misleading. I hold a PhD in geography and environment from Oxford, where I focused on climate change, and have worked deeply in the science of solutions (see, e.g., Drawdown). All of that background and understanding underpins this book. As does robust *social science* about impediments to engagement—what keeps people on the sidelines, as opposed to taking part in solutions. We know emotions are core. I'd point you to the notes and sources for more detail, available on the book's website.
