In Jan & Jul each year we read a fiction book. And this one immediately captivated me because of this blurb line: "A family saga following four generations on a time-bending journey from coastal Scotland to a colony on Mars." It's about exploring a future with climate change, and also space, and it's gotten great reviews (and also I'm a sucker for an intertwining story across timelines), so happy reading!

Great book. I really liked how it didn't hit you over the head with a message but just let you feel what the characters lives were like in the times they lived. It also connected their lives really well over the long time span.

I also just finished this and I agree - it came at it from a character perspective of living through these changes. I really enjoyed it!
