I've been attending a Messianic synagogue for three years now, and hearing the Torah stories from a Jewish perspective has opened my eyes to many thing--including the story of Rebekah. I used to think of her as a schemer, but now I see that she was the one who knew and understood the will of the Lord when it came to her sons. Before they were born, the Lord said the older would serve the younger, so of course she wanted Jacob to receive the firstborn's blessing! I was so grateful to have a chance to delve deeper into the history and psychology of Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob in this story. I hope you enjoy it!
