I didn't like Station Eleven either!
I really liked this one but didn't care for McConaghy's latest book and I feel like I had some similar complaints about that one.
I liked Migrations more than I liked Station Eleven. I enjoyed the world building of Migrations. We do not know what is coming due to climate change. As a Cli-fi novel, I thought Migrations was reasonable, maybe even compelling. As Lit fic... not so much...😎
But it’s all so vague. Apparently all the forests are gone? But there’s nothing about human habitats? And there are some fish but not all? And all the birds except the arctic terns? How and why did this mass extinction happen in the manner in which it did, but humanity is just humming along?
I liked Station Eleven, but I also reallllllly enjoy hearing you talk about how much you didn't like it. Love the passion!
