by randy lee higgins**A Question That Stayed With Me After Reading Salvo: The Codex Edition**
Hello fellow readers,
Every now and then, a book comes along that doesn't simply tell a story, it leaves you sitting quietly with your own thoughts long after you've turned the final page.
Recently, I came across *Salvo: The Codex Edition* by Randy Lee Higgins, and what struck me most wasn't just the narrative itself, but the questions it quietly asks beneath the surface. Questions about purpose, truth, human nature, and the choices that shape who we become.
One thing I love about reading is how different people can walk away from the same book carrying completely different insights. A single chapter can resonate deeply with one reader while another finds meaning in an entirely different moment.
So I'd love to open a discussion:
**Have you ever read a book that challenged the way you see yourself, your beliefs, or the world around you?**
What was the book, and what impact did it leave on you?
For those who have read *Salvo: The Codex Edition*, I'd also be interested to hear:
* What themes stood out most to you?
* Was there a particular idea or passage that stayed with you?
* Did the book leave you with more answers, or more questions?
I always enjoy hearing how fellow readers interpret thought-provoking books, and I'm looking forward to learning from your perspectives.
Happy reading, everyone.
THE KING MUST KILL THE QUEENHi everyone! 👋
I’m so excited to join this group! I’m an author, and I just released my dark royal fantasy novel, THE KING MUST KILL THE QUEEN. It is packed with heavy political intrigue, ancient rituals, psychological tension, and an African-inspired setting.
I just added it to the group's shelf and would love for you to check it out if you enjoy stories where love and power collide violently. I’m also looking forward to adding some amazing new reads from this group to my own TBR list!
My book is on Amazon 🔗 : https://a.co/d/06R1NGQo
Night Journey By Goldie BrowningNeed a book that has romance, time travel, mystery, family secrets, and an eerie haunted-hotel setting? *Night Journey* by Goldie Browning delivered all of that and more. I went in expecting an entertaining story, but ended up completely invested in the characters and their emotional journey. The stakes feel real, the suspense keeps building, and the connections between past and present are beautifully written. If you enjoy books that make you feel, think, and stay up later than planned, this is one I'd definitely recommend.
If you like dark urban romantasy with found family, soul bond, slow burn, with a powerful fmc, and a mmc who is a lightly overdone cinnamon, and everyone's favorite regal snarky talking cat, Sir Felix, who has a secret of his own. I recommend my debut novel, Ascendance. It's currently available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.
My new novel, A Storm Coming, matches your interests: Romance, thriller, classics, and poetry. My most recent review says, "What a great book. I usually don't read historical fiction, but this is a must-read. This is a real page-turner.”I can’t wait for your feedback.

Field LaneJohn SodeauI'd like to recommend Field Lane by John Sodeau.
This is a compelling and thought-provoking read that combines strong storytelling with memorable characters and themes that stay with you long after you've finished the final page. The author's writing style is engaging and immersive, making it easy to become invested in the journey and experiences of the characters.
What I particularly appreciated about this book is its ability to balance emotional depth with an engaging narrative, offering readers plenty to reflect on while still delivering an enjoyable reading experience. Whether you enjoy character-driven stories, meaningful themes, or simply discovering new voices, Field Lane is worth adding to your reading list.
I'd love to hear the thoughts of others who have read it, and for those who haven't, I highly recommend giving it a try.
Hii bookgirlys, I need a book recommendation for a birthday gift. The friend of mine is new to the spicy book genre and wanted something light to start.Genre: Romance novel
Theme: Love and romance. The protagonists should be over 25 years old and heterosexual. The male protagonist could be either a singer, soccer player, or firefighter.... something sexy.
Style: Light-hearted and entertaining
Special feature: Should include well-written, steamy sex scenes, without being to kinky.
She only reads in German, so it would be the best if the book is available in this language.
It's kind of difficult for me to find anything because I'm usually not reading these books...
I would appreciate every recommendation. Thaaaanks 💞

I have two psychological thrillers that were published this year. "LEST I DIE" that will absolutely knock your socks off, and "BARELY GOT AWAY" which is perhaps my best work. You can find them on Goodreads, Amazon, Audible, Ingram Spark, and B&N. Blessings!
Contemporary YA LGBTQ fiction is my favorite! I actually write in that genre too :)If you want a heartfelt book that isn't afraid to talk about the darker things, Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock is my all-time fav.
If you want something softer, sad winter vibes and an ending that'll literally hurt your heart, Orbiting Jupiter. :)
I love those sad boy books, what can I say?

A Simple Story About a Girl Who Dies and Is Given One More Day to LiveSome stories are fast-paced and full of twists. One More Day is not one of them.
It is a slow-burn, reflective novel for readers who enjoy quiet stories about ordinary moments, friendships, regrets, gratitude, and the things we often assume will always be there until they suddenly aren't.
Mira is a quiet high school student whose life is unexpectedly cut short by a tragic accident. But instead of ending there, she is given something impossible: the chance to live one more day.
If you've ever wished you had said something differently, spent more time with someone (especially someone you lost), appreciated ordinary days a little more, or wondered what truly matters when time becomes limited, perhaps you may find something meaningful in Mira's journey.
Rather than suspense or grand adventure, One More Day offers a gentle and bittersweet reading experience that invites readers to slow down, reflect, and perhaps leave with a deeper appreciation for the people and moments they still have.
📖 Available as a Kindle eBook and in paperback. For readers who enjoy holding a book and lingering over quiet stories, the paperback may offer an especially enjoyable reading experience.

If you're still unsure whether this story is for you, feel free to read the first few chapters through Amazon's free sample feature and see if Mira's journey resonates with you.
And if it does, I would be grateful if you considered leaving a customer review. Thank you.

If you enjoy psychological thrillers with unusual "what if" concepts, I'd love to mention a novella I recently wrote called When Red Died First.
It's about a world where the color red suddenly disappears, and the consequences slowly unravel everyday life in unexpected ways. If that premise sounds interesting, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think if you decide to read it.
Besides that, I'd also recommend Project Hail Mary if you enjoy big ideas, or Dark Matter if you're looking for a fast-paced thriller.

Hey everyone. I'm Everett, an indie author from Kentucky. I finished The Last Calorin, an epic fantasy that's been getting solid reader response, and I wanted to put it in front of people who actually love the genre. Here's the pitch: Kaelen Draeger is the last of a fire wielding bloodline. His family was slaughtered by orc emperor Thorgar Bloodmaw. Now he's hunting him across a brutal fantasy world, but revenge isn't as simple as he thought. The book sits somewhere between Harry Potter's character journey, Hunger Games' pacing, and Stormlight Archive's worldbuilding.
It's 411 pages, indie published, and available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle.
If epic fantasy that's clean with real character stakes interests you, I'd genuinely love for you to check it out. Happy to answer any questions
A young adult novel which i recently enjoyed, although at 43 definitely fektvit was a bit young for me, was 'a Gathering light'.Classic: Jane Eyre.
Historical fiction: the good people by Hannah Kent, a terrific read. Hope some of those fit the bill.

Hi everyone! I'm the author of "Love Was Never On Our Summer Itinerary by Saba Bibi", and I'd love to invite you to give it a read if you enjoy romance. Z is for Lamentation this is my dystopian fiction novel. So far I’ve managed 5 star ratings on Amazon and Goodreads. It’s free on Kindle Unlimited. A character driven, post apocalyptic slow burn set in rural Oklahoma. I’d love for you to give it a chance.
Secrets of Whiskey RiverSecrets of Whiskey RiverBy me! It's a romantic suspense series that follows a signle mom with a hidden past and a protective detective MMC. The threat is much larger than they both originally thought. Can she learn to trust him before its too late for them both?

Ps; I still haven't had my finals but to excite me I guess.
