Kurt Reichenbaugh Campbell's stories always sound great but getting through the writing is another thing. It's amazing how long he edited Astounding Magazine.

Phil So glad to hear this being said. I tried reading this last year but had to give up halfway. Thought it was just the mood I was in but obviously not!

Joseph Hirsch You might want to check out "Frozen Hell," the novel-length version from which "Who Goes There" is really just an extract. I think it was only recently unearthed from his files, but it's worth looking at.

Still Joseph- if Campbell expanded the novella I just don’t think I’d be able to ingest any more of his writing. It truly bothers me that this is such a brilliant concept of extraterrestrial terror written in such a way that most of the time I couldn’t separate which character was which. The description of the “Thing” defies imagination. Thanks for the heads up but I can’t promise I’ll pass Campbell/Stuart’s way again.
