Hopefully the fact that the last message in this thread is over a year old doesn't mean nobody ever reads this or that this particular section is not beyond resuscitation!
This is a self-promotion, born of desperation, emanating from the dark and lonely place from whence new and unknown authors must, somehow, despite the odds, emerge.
My novel, Past Mistakes, is currently available to read as an Advance Review Copy, and I would be very grateful if one or more of you would take the time to read it, and then give it an honest review on Amazon or Goodreads on or shortly after its date of publication, which will be August 4th, 2026.
The novel
Emily Voss gets paid to banish demons that mostly aren't there. The exceptions are becoming a problem.
Fake exorcisms pay the rent: salt, a few words in Latin, a little theater — and whisky afterward, for the guilt. Emily's made peace with being a fraud. It beats remembering what happened the last time she tangled with a real demon.
Then a job at a New York hotel turns out to be the real thing, and it's only the first. Possessions across the city are multiplying. Not random; coordinated. Directed by something with a plan, and Emily keeps getting in the way.
Every thread she pulls leads back to the past she buried. And the enemy holding the other end has every advantage. Worse: they're much, much closer than she realizes.
Jessica Jones meets The Dresden Files in this dark urban fantasy debut. Book One of the Emily Voss series. Has been compared to Kat Drummond by early reviewers.
The Ask: In return for the book for free, I would be incredibly helped by an honest review on or soon after August 4th 2026.
